The James webb space telescopes is named after James E. Webb, who was second administrator of NASA from 1961 to 1968,James webb telescope will the most advanced telescope we have. James webb telescope were made by NASA(National Aeronautics and Space Administration),ESA(European Space Agency) and CSA(Canadian Space Agency). James webb telescope will be Lounch on 30 March 2021(planned launch date). James  webb telescope have infrared light sensitive cameras it means the James webb space telescope will observe infrared light waves coming from the space.

Why James webb space telescope is better than Hubble space telescope?


The James webb space telescope will have a main mirror that is 6.5 meters wide. It means James webb space telescope have 6 times larger in area than the Hubble space telescope. The Hubble space telescope can only capture Visible light and near infrared lights But the jems webb space telescope will specially made for infrared lights. James webb space telescope will cover longer wavelength of light than the Hubble space telescope.

Yes, James webb space telescope's primary mirror is 6.5 meter diameter gold coated.
the mirrors and entire James webb space telescope have just a shade over 48 grams of gold.

Why NASA use gold coating on James webb space telescope?


Because the gold is pure, soft and it can absorbs some of the visible rays,it will be shielded by a protective layer of glass. Gold can reflect infrared and Ultraviolet rays. And we need this type of mirrors they can reflect well amount of infrared rays.
